In December 2023, Neel Title Corporation celebrated a significant milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new state-of-the-art building located at 7201 Rocio Drive. This event not only marked the opening of their new facility but also celebrated nearly a century of service in the Laredo community.
The ribbon-cutting event opened with a warm welcome from Miguel Conchas, former President and CEO of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, who acknowledged the company’s long-standing role in Laredo. Conchas shared his admiration for Neel Title’s dedication, stating, “We’re here to celebrate two major achievements: this incredible new building and 98 years of commitment to Laredo.”
Monsignor Alex Salazar from San Martin de Porres Catholic Church was invited to bless the building, offering prayers for the Neel family, employees, and the community they serve. His heartfelt words recognized Neel Title’s dedication to those in housing, family services, and real estate.
The 12,700-square-foot building is a symbol of Neel Title’s forward-looking vision. Conchas highlighted the facility’s modern features, from high-speed cabling and video conferencing to a Mediterranean-inspired lobby and spacious closing rooms designed for client comfort. “The beauty of this building reflects the family-owned legacy of Neel Title, managed by three generations with a fourth on the way,” he said.
Owner and CEO Parker J. Neel expressed pride in the new facility, noting the hard work that went into bringing it to life. “We’re thrilled to welcome you to see what our team has accomplished,” Neel shared. “The building showcases beautiful original art—whether you love florals or classic Western scenes, there’s something here for everyone.”
Parker J. Neel shared reflections on Neel Title’s rich history. Since George E. Neel, Sr. first established the company in 1925 in downtown Laredo, Neel Title has expanded and evolved with the community. Each move—first to Washington Street, then to Welby Court in North Laredo—was made to support Laredo’s growth, with the current Rocio Drive location positioning the company to continue serving in the heart of Laredo’s commercial development.
Monica Y. Martinez, Executive Director of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, expressed gratitude for Neel Title’s contributions to the local economy, saying, “Neel Title has helped shape our business community. Your commitment to customer service is unmatched, and we’re honored to have you as a part of our Chamber family.”
In closing, Vanessa Frausto from IBC Bank presented Neel Title with a Chamber of Commerce certificate, celebrating their new chapter and longstanding partnership.
As the Neel family, Neel Title staff, and Laredo’s business leaders gathered to cut the ribbon, Parker Neel summed up the moment perfectly: “This is the future. We’re looking forward to the next 25 years and beyond. Thank you, Laredo, for all your support!”
With this new building, Neel Title Corporation continues its legacy, blending a family tradition of excellence with innovative facilities designed to meet the needs of Laredo’s growing community.
